Our Classes
The Seaton School of Music was founded to fill the gap in music education that is growing in our public schools. As music programs are diminished, or even cut altogether, standardized test scores are dropping, and students are growing more and more frustrated. At the Seaton School of Music, our lessons pay particular focus to scientific curiosity, language fluency, art appreciation, and mathematical understanding that is at the core of the music we all love... Not to mention, it's a lot of fun!
SLAM! Music™ Exploration
In this class, designed for younger students from 3rd to 8th grades, we focus on the fundamental components of music:

-
Language - How to read and write the music we hear, and how to use music to communicate.
-
Art - Exploring different genres of music and the composers that helped define them.
-
Mathematics - Learning to recognize patterns and to use them in understanding and creating music.
